By researching this topic, the goal is to present and get to know the public-private partnership, its advantages and disadvantages, basic forms, public funding and to show examples in Croatia and the world. Public-private partnership refers to the cooperation of public and private sector, with the aim of providing funds for management and reconstruction. Different risks can affect the project, so we have a problem that the projects are unfinished due to mutual disagreement between the public and private sectors, the existence of a time limit, excessive costs. Public-private partnership is a balance where the state is focused on the delivery of basic public services, while the private entrepreneur should take care of the construction itself. Project financing can be through EU funds where we have repayable and non-refundable sources, and project financing. Each of the forms of financing represents a risk in the implementation of a project. PPP is recognized in most countries and is most commonly applied in the tourism sector, as it creates a large number of jobs that boost the national economy. Although sometimes large projects, collaboration is inevitable. The Republic of Croatia is not yet so focused on this form of design, sometimes PPP is not an ideal solution for the project, but it˝s necessary to adapt, to have a positive mindset in order for PPP to be introduced into the culture of project organization.
