Abstract
Hotel business is an important segment of the hospitality industry, and under the influence of digital and information technology, hotel business and sales are gaining a new segment. The organizational structure of hotel companies, as well as hotel sales, primarily depends on the size of the hotel, then services, location, market segment, goals and strategy. The aim of this paper was to investigate and present the basic classification of hotels, types of hotel organizational structures and the sales department, the booking process, the progress of hotel sales under the influence of digital technology, but also to look at accommodation reservations during the coronavirus pandemic.
Abstract (english)
Hotelsko poslovanje predstavlja važan segment ugostiteljske djelatnosti, a pod utjecajem digitalne i informacijske tehnologije hotelsko poslovanje i prodaja dobivaju novi segment. Organizacijska struktura hotelskih poduzeća te isto tako i hotelske prodaje u rvom redu ovisi o veličini hotela zatim uslugama, lokaciji, tržišnom segmentu, ciljevima i strategiji. Cilj ovoga rada bio je istražiti i prikazati osnovnu klasifikaciju hotela, vrste organizacijskih struktura hotela te samog odjela prodaje, postupak rezervacije,napredak hotelske prodaje pod utjecajem razvoja digitalne tehnologije, ali i osvrnuti se na rezerviranje smještaja u vrijeme pandemije koronavirusa
