Abstract
Pomorski prijevoz zadužen je za povezivanje otoka s obalom i obratno. On je okosnica priobalnih područja ali i gospodarskog razvoja. Osnovna infrastruktura pomorskog prijevoza jesu luke. Luke predstavljaju opremljen i uređen prostor na obali koji je organiziran za prijem brodova. U Hrvatskoj djeluje šest javnih većih luka: luka Split, luka Rijeka, luka Dubrovnik, luka Ploče, luka Zadar i luka Šibenik. Sve su luke opremljene opremom prema standardima struke što im osigurava zadovoljenje potražnje. Teretne luke često imaju opremu za prekrcaj tereta kao što su dizalice i viličari, čiji vlasnici mogu biti privatne osobe ili javne ustanove. Često se u blizini luke nalaze skladišta, prostori za konzerviranje, hladnjače, cisterne i druge objekte za obradu i skladištenje robe, a zbog svoje važnosti, i razne građevine podgradnje i nadgradnje bivaju izgrađene kraj luka.
Abstract (english)
Maritime transport connects the islands to the coast and vice versa. It is the backbone of the tourism sector, especially coastal areas but also economic development. The basic maritime transport infrastructure are ports. The ports represent an equipped and landscaped shoreline organized for the reception of ships. There are six major public ports in Croatia: the port of Split, the port of Rijeka, the port of Dubrovnik, the port of Ploce, the port of Zadar and the port of Šibenik. The port of Dubrovnik specializes in cursors, while the ports of Rijeka and Ploče are more oriented towards the transport of goods. The port of Split is focused on passenger transport. Freight ports often have lifting equipment such as cranes and forklifts, whose owners may be private persons or public facilities. Often, near the harbor, there are warehouses, conservation areas, refrigerators, tanks and other facilities for processing and storing goods, and because of its importance, various construction and overhaul buildings are built around the arch.
